Official (Tutorial) Fellowship in Law and Associate Professorship or Professorship of Law
Magdalen College, Oxford and the Faculty of Law, University of Oxford propose, if a suitable candidate applies, to appoint to an Official (Tutorial) Fellowship in Law and an Associate Professorship or Professorship of Law. This is a permanent position, subject to completion of a successful review.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applications are invited from candidates who are active researchers of outstanding ability in Law, with a major research interest in Land Law, Jurisprudence, or Roman Private Law, and with the ability to provide excellent tutorial teaching, classes, and lectures. The successful candidate will be required to engage in scholarly research and publication and to teach at least one of the following compulsory papers for the BA: Land Law, A Roman Introduction to Private Law, and Jurisprudence. Candidates must hold a doctorate or LLM equivalent at the time of interview. Candidates must have a sound knowledge of Law in the relevant subjects, the ability or potential to undertake College and University administration and a willingness to participate in College and University business, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
SALARY RANGE: British Pound 46,336 to British Pound 62,219 p.a. (plus British Pound 15,000 p.a. taxable and pensionable College housing allowance or free College accommodation, and other benefits).
Associate Professors who are awarded the title of full Professor may receive from the University an additional salary payment of British Pound 2,700 p.a. (without change to the duties of the post).
