Reader/Senior Lecturer in Accounting (one post) and Reader/Senior Lecturer in Finance (one post)

Cranfield School of Management has long been recognised as a leading centre of excellence for research and teaching in Finance and Accounting. Our MSc in Finance & Management programme is currently ranked 5th in the UK by the Financial Times amongst the top finance masters programmes worldwide. The Finance & Accounting group runs two MSc finance programmes; MSc in Finance & Management and MSc in Investment Management. We are looking to fill two positions, one in Financial/Management Accounting and the other in Finance. We are looking for dynamic, ambitious and inspiring academics to contribute to the continued development of the accounting and finance research and teaching. Salary is British Pound 49,761 to 67,474 per annum.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL: Cranfield has a vibrant research culture and is renowned for high quality postgraduate education. The new appointments will be expected to teach on the finance MScs, full and executive MBA Programmes, and make contributions to teaching of finance and accounting modules on the non-finance MScs and also teach on executive education programmes.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: You will have a proven track-record of high quality research publications in accounting and/or finance and a passion for teaching. We are seeking expertise in financial & management accounting, corporate finance and international finance. You will be expected to have a PhD and will show clear evidence and/or a strong potential for internationally-rated publications. Previous industrial experience and/or a professional finance qualification are desirable attributes, but not essential. A recognised teaching qualification will also normally be held, but if not, you will be required to enrol on a Cranfield-run course to gain a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching, Learning and Development.
