Faculty Position in Finance

The Department of Finance in the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Finance with a specialization in Investments, Asset pricing or Entrepreneurial Finance for the Fall term of 2013. This is an expansion position to join a highly research-active faculty in a new larger building for the LeBow College of Business that will open in Winter 2013.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have earned a Ph.D. in Finance or be near completion and have excellent communication skills. We are looking for candidates with publications (or the ability to publish) in top-tier finance journals. The ideal candidate should also be able to interact effectively with others and enhance the intellectual environment of the department. All candidates should be capable of teaching at the undergraduate, MBA, and Ph.D. levels. The teaching load is commensurate with research expectations.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE AND DEPARTMENT: Located in Philadelphia's University City area, the LeBow College of Business is AACSB-accredited at the graduate and undergraduate levels and offers doctorate, MBA, and undergraduate degrees. The Center for Corporate Governance is directed by Dr. Ralph Walkling, the Stratakis Chair of Corporate Governance. The Department of Finance is a group of active, enthusiastic, research oriented scholars ( http://www.lebow.drexel.edu/Faculty/Departments/Finance/Faculty.php) engaged primarily in publishing empirical research. The department conducts an active research seminar series with presentations by leading scholars from throughout the United States. Research is supported by access to research databases and research assistant support.
