Tenure-Track Position in Finance

The Department of Finance at the University of Miami's School of Business Administration is seeking candidates for a tenure-track faculty position beginning in fall 2013. All ranks (assistant, associate, or full) and all specialties will be considered.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: PhD required in Finance or related field. Candidates must have a strong commitment to research and teaching. The normal teaching load for research active faculty is three courses per year. Salary is competitive, including summer research support. Interviews by prior appointment will take place at the AFA meeting in San Diego.

ABOUT THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT: Department of Finance faculty are actively engaged in research, and in recent years, members of our department have published their research in a wide variety of journals, including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Business, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, and Management Science. Department members are also active in the editorial process of numerous journals, and have served as Associate Editors of various journals and as Editor of Financial Management. The department maintains an active seminar series and an internal brown bag series, and hosts an annual behavioral finance conference that attracts leading scholars ( In addition, the Society for Financial Studies (which produces the Review of Financial Studies) has selected the department to host its 2013 SFS Finance Cavalcade (
