Department of Finance Tenure Track Assistant or Tenured Associate Professor

The University of Minnesota's Finance Department at the Carlson School of Management is seeking qualified applicants.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates at the Assistant Professor level position should have excellent prospects for scholarly achievements in the area of finance in addition to high quality work in progress. Candidates at higher rank need to demonstrate research achievements consistent with their rank. All candidates should have a PhD in finance, economics or related field; a commitment to quality teaching; an ability to interact effectively with others and make a meaningful contribution to the department and the School.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/RESEARCH ACTIVITIES: The successful candidate is expected to undertake high-quality research activities. These activities include ongoing research by the candidate, fostering the development of research by other faculty in the School, mentoring doctoral candidates in finance and working with scientific communities and scholarly journals in the field.

Teaching Activities: The candidate is expected to teach in the area of finance. This may include teaching undergraduates, MBA students, PhD students, business executives and in other Carlson School of Management educational programs.

Service Activities: The candidate is expected to take part in the full range of departmental, School and University service activities appropriate to rank.
