C. R. Williams Professor of Financial Services

The Department of Finance at Texas Christian University invites applications and nominations for the C. R. Williams Professor of Financial Services (at the Associate or Full Professor level) in the Neeley School of Business beginning August 2013. We are seeking candidates with distinguished records of scholarly accomplishment and leadership in preparing graduates for successful careers in finance. The Professorship holder is expected to generate high quality research, be an integral collegial member of the Neeley faculty, and enhance the Neeley School's reputation for scholarship with external audiences. Experience working with a student managed fund is a plus.

The Department of Finance has 14 full-time faculty members, who consistently publish in the leading finance journals. In past years, members of the Department of Finance have had papers published in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Economics, Financial Management, Journal of Banking and Finance and other leading journals. The LKCM Center for Financial Studies enhances the quality, prestige, and national visibility of finance programs at the Neeley School of Business by providing research support for faculty, industry partnerships, and assisting students searching for excellent employment opportunities in finance. Since 1973 the Neeley School has offered the Educational Investment Fund (EIF), a large endowment run entirely by students, offering them valuable investment experience working with fellow students to manage a portfolio of stocks and bonds.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will be widely known in the finance field, and have an exceptional research program as evidenced by influential publications as well as work in progress and a distinguished record of achievement in the classroom. The candidate will present evidence of the ability to operate effectively in a participative, collegial environment.
