Assistant Teaching Professor of Finance

The Department of Finance at the University of Missouri invites applications for a non-tenure-track position as Assistant Teaching Professor starting August 20, 2012.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. degree in finance or a closely related area such as economics. Applicants should have a minimum of five years' experience of successful teaching experience at the college level, and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching.

Candidates should have experience teaching introductory finance courses and also be able to teach courses required for the undergraduate major in finance. The person hired for this position will be expected to teach at least one section of FINANCE 1000 Introduction to Finance or FINANCE 2000 Survey of Finance and also coordinate the teaching assistants assigned to the other sections of the course. There may also be opportunity for teaching in the MBA program. The teaching load will be three or four courses per semester.

The position may be renewed in future years subject to funding and satisfactory performance.
