Faculty Position in Accounting
The Faculty of Business, Brock University invites applications for two (2) probationary tenure-track positions in Accounting starting July 1, 2013. The position rank is open depending upon qualifications. The availability of the positions is subject to final budgetary approval.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in Accounting is required (completed or near completion). Previous academic experience and professional designation are desirable, but not required. We seek candidates with the potential for excellence in teaching and research.
JOB DESCRIPTION: These are probationary tenure-track positions requiring quality research, teaching, and service. We welcome applications from candidates with interest in any area of accounting research and teaching, and we especially encourage candidates with a teaching interest in taxation to apply.
ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The Department of Accounting has 25 full-time faculty members and is in the Faculty of Business, which has approximately 90 full-time members. We offer a full range of graduate and undergraduate programs, both research and professionally oriented: Master of Accountancy, Master of Science with an Accounting stream, MBA with an optional Accounting stream, Bachelor of Accounting, and Bachelor of Business Administration with an optional Accounting stream. Co-op options are available in both undergraduate and graduate programs.
The Faculty of Business is AACSB accredited. Our accounting programs are accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario, and the Certified General Accountants of Ontario.
