One or more Tenure-Track Accounting Professor Positions

The Department of Accounting is searching for tenure-track assistant or associate professor(s) to start as soon as Spring 2013, but not later than Fall 2013. Position is contingent on funding. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB accredited institution. Candidates nearing completion of the doctorate may be considered; however, the doctorate must be complete prior to the end of the first semester. Mainstream professional certification with related professional experience in accounting is required (e.g., CPA, CMA, CIA). Good verbal communication skills and excellent classroom presentation skills are essential for appointment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to candidates who have work experience in their area of teaching interests. Preferred applicants will have a history of excellence in the classroom as well as demonstrated productivity in the areas of intellectual contributions and service.

JOB DESCRIPTION: This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching, scholarship, and service. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.

SALARY: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
