Journal of Contemporary Accounting and Economics (JCAE) Mid-Year Symposium

The 2016 JCAE Mid-Year Symposium is jointly organised by the University of Technology Sydney and Griffith University. This symposium provides a platform for accounting, economics and corporate governance academics especially from Australia, New Zealand and Asia to present cutting-edge research findings. Papers accepted will be considered for publication in the JCAE subject to editorial approval.

The 2016 Keynote Speaker will be Professor Steven Cahan from the University of Auckland. Steven is a former Editor of Accounting & Finance, the journal of the Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand, and the Pacific Accounting Review.

PAPER SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: Manuscripts should be submitted in MS-Word format to Manuscripts previously published or currently under review by other publications must not be submitted. All submissions are subject to a blind review process. To ensure anonymity in the review process, authors must not identify themselves directly or indirectly in the body of the paper.

Submissions must be received no later than April 3, 2016. Authors can expect to be notified of the review outcome by May 13, 2016.

ABOUT THE JOURNAL OF CONTEMPORARY ACCOUNTING AND ECONOMICS (JCAE): The Journal is dedicated to publishing high quality manuscripts that rigorously apply economics and legal theory to accounting/auditing with an emphasis on empirical research. While there is a special focus on issues relevant to the Asia-Pacific region, the Journal also encourages submissions from countries outside the Asia-Pacific region. The following major areas as related to accounting and auditing issues: financial contracts, corporate governance, capital markets, financial institutions and economics of organizations.
