SSRN is pleased to announce the launch of the Women & Work special topic hub in honor of International Women's Day. Here, our subject matter experts have curated a view into early-stage research, including preprints, working papers, and conference proceedings, with insights into factors that contribute to gender inequality in the workplace and ways in which it can be mitigated.

Description: SSRN's Women & Work Special Topic Hub provides a curated view into early-stage research addressing inequalities in the labor force. Despite progress that has been made over generations, women continue to be underrepresented in higher-paying positions and earn less than their male counterparts for the same work. Wage disparities are not the only issue, with women facing gender and racial stereotypes, a lack of representation in leadership roles in many industries, sexual harassment in the workplace, and often, an unequal work-life balance. This special topic hub presents insights from many disciplines that may inform the ongoing conversation about reaching parity for women in business

SSRN, Elsevier's world-leading preprint platform devoted to the rapid worldwide dissemination of early-stage research, is committed to advancing societal progress through quality knowledge and education. Research on SSRN is free to download and upload.

It is important to note that many of these papers have not been edited or benefited from the pivotal role of peer-review, which validates and improves the quality of final published journal articles.
