University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law Legal Studies Research Paper Series

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) Faculty of Law Research Paper Series publishes the legal scholarship of Faculty members, visiting scholars and selected works of postgraduate students. The HKU Faculty of Law was first established as the Department of Law in the Faculty of Social Sciences in 1969. It is the first law school in Hong Kong. The Faculty has a diverse staff and student population from different countries and jurisdictions which contributes to the prolific, inclusive and collaborative research environment. To promote academic exchanges and knowledge transfer, the Faculty has set up several research centres, namely, Centre for Comparative and Public Law, Asian Institute of International Financial Law, Law and Technology Centre, Philip K.H. Wong Centre for Chinese Law, Centre for Interdisciplinary Legal Studies and Centre for Medical Ethics and Law.
