The Just Transition Research Centre, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (JTRC-IITK) Research Paper Series includes abstracts and papers in several areas of energy transition away from fossil fuel, international, national and sub-national level debates and methods. The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) was established by the Indian Government in 1959 with the aim of providing meaningful education, conducting original research of the highest standard and providing leadership in technological innovation. The consortia of nine leading technical institutes of the USA provided technical input during its establishment. Our Institute is recognized among the top tier technical institutes in the country and ranks among the top 500 universities of the world. Located in the vibrant city of Kanpur set in the Gangetic plain, JTRC-IITK, is releasing this series that will be in congruence with the ongoing climate change mitigation efforts with the focus on best practices of energy transition.
