The field of Nursing focuses on the care of individuals, families, and communities to allow them to reach, maintain, or recover optimal health and quality of life. Nurses work in many settings providing patient care, patient assessments, developing nursing care plans and educating patients about their conditions in conjunction with physicians, therapists, and other team members.
Nursing research intersects with other disciplines including medicine, biology, chemistry, and women’s & gender issues. The Nursing Research Network (NursingRN) is applicable for researchers as well as practitioners and comprises a diverse body of literature focusing on nursing education, specialties of care in both the hospital and non-hospital settings, interdepartmental care, administrative aspects of nursing, and medico-legal features. SSRN helps fosters research and collaboration with the aim of hosting research that can improve public health and nursing care around the world.
