The Faculty of Business and Economics is comprised of four Departments - Accounting and Corporate Governance, Applied Finance and Actuarial Studies, Economics, and Marketing and Management. It also encompasses the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and the Applied Finance Centre. Its Research Centres include: The Centre for Financial Risk, The Centre for Workforce Futures and The Macquarie University Centre for the Health Economy. The Faculty is known in Australia for excellence in applied problem-focused research conducted with a range of external organisations from the public, private and Not-for-Profit sectors. Researchers encompass a wide range of disciplines, including accounting, actuarial studies, business law, demography, economics, employment relations, entrepreneurship, finance, history, human resource management, international business, management, marketing, organizational and work studies. Its Working Paper Series (WPS) aims to promote the dissemination of research to scholars and external stakeholders in order to enhance exchange of ideas and contribute solutions to real world issues.
