The First Pan-IIT International Management Conference 2018 (PANIITIMC'18) was organized by the Department of Management Studies, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee from November 30 to December 2, 2018, at IIT Roorkee. One of the primary objectives of conducting PANIITIMC was to share the role of technology and management in the new era. Changing environments have brought different disciplines so close that management, engineering, technology, and law need more cohesiveness.

More than 700 papers were received for the conference. The conference also witnessed several interactive sessions and workshops steered by experts and practitioners from industry and academia. The 'Book of Abstracts', containing 481 selected abstracts, with ISBN number 978-93-5311-935-5, was released at the inaugural function of the PANIITIMC'18 on November 30, 2018.

The proceedings titled 'e-journal First Pan-IIT International Management Conference', which took more than two years, is being released herewith with select papers in electronic mode to reach a maximum audience. We hope that the research fraternity will be benefited immensely with this source of learning. The PANIITIMC'18 has laid the stepping stone for the future Pan-IIT Management Conferences to act as a podium for evolving more interdisciplinary research and for making the world, in all, a better place to live in.
