JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Dr John Mayo, one of the Faculty's long-standing donors, has made a further substantial gift to establish an endowed Chair in the area of Health Law and Policy. We are seeking to appoint an outstanding scholar with excellent interpersonal skills to lead this area and make a significant contribution to a broad range of personal and public health issues which affect patients, and health and legal practitioners in the public and private sectors, as well as the broader community within New Zealand and internationally.

Candidates will demonstrate personal credibility and exceptional communication skills. They will ideally have expertise in working with key partners in the government, health and medical sectors, which they can utilise to build on our existing relationships with those key partners.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Chair will have the opportunity to engage and collaborate in research and teaching with our colleagues in the Faculty of Medical and Health Sciences.
