The Max Planck Lawcast showcases the academic research being conducted across Max Planck Law, a network of ten Max Planck Institutes engaging in legal research. As part of the Max Planck Society, Germany's most successful research organization, we are committed to its mission of pushing the frontiers of knowledge. Our approach transcends boundaries within and between disciplines, and we have a strong focus on comparative and transnational research questions. We cover a broad range of legal research, from the anthropology of law to tax law, in eight different locations across Germany and Luxembourg. Each of the Institutes is a centre of excellence for legal research in its respective area. Collectively, with 20 directors and over 400 doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, they make Max Planck Law one of the world's largest networks for legal research.
