The Student Borrower Protection Center is a nonprofit organization focused on alleviating the burden of student debt for millions of Americans. The SBPC brings together leading higher education and consumer finance researchers, scholars, and practitioners to engage on key policy, legal, and economic issues confronting student loan borrowers across the country with the goal of driving a range of new research and analysis on complex questions of law and policy. SBPC-affiliated authors are redefining the field of student loan law by driving high-impact doctrinal and empirical scholarship on key issues facing policymakers and litigants. The Student Borrower Protection Center Research Series covers a wide range of topics related to higher education finance, including predatory lending, for-profit school accountability, income share agreements, fair lending risk, and more.
