Associate/Full Professor of Accounting (Program Lead)

Job Description & Qualification

For this Associate or Full Professor position, applicants must hold a similar rank with tenure at their current institution. Teaching expertise in any area of accounting will be considered. A doctorate in accounting from an AACSB accredited school by employment start date, and an active research agenda with publications in highly-ranked accounting journals are required. In addition, excellence in teaching, mentoring of students (including PhD students) and untenured faculty, continued research productivity, service activities related to an accounting program with strong ties to the profession are required, as well as a demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity. Finally, collegiality and a strong interest in maintaining a well-respected accounting program is required. Preferred qualifications include previous administrative experience as well as previous experience managing relationships with outside stakeholders.

To be considered for appointment, a candidate must have sufficient experience and qualifications to qualify for promotion according to University guidelines, including a demonstrated record of research of acceptable dimension that works toward
distinction in scholarship.
