Job Description & Qualification

A successful and dynamic investment firm with a long history of risk-taking and thought leadership, is seeking a lifelong learner and skilled synthesizer of information to help bring worldwide trends to the table where decisions get made. This new position is a move on the part of the firm to proactively explore new influences, possibilities and connections to inform their strategy.

Be ready to:
• Digest numerous books, periodicals and other media regularly and generate ideas, research projects, or discussion materials based on what you’ve learned
• Assist the head of research in pursuing key research leads
• Facilitate conversations about research topics and engage in explorations of investment potential
• Attend conferences & events (academic, civic, trade & company) and summarize salient points, interactions and experiential anecdotes.

Specific Skills
• Fluency in at least one language other than English, ideally Spanish, Arabic, or Chinese
• Previous experience in research and/or analysis, possibly as an academic research assistant
• Project Management experience
• MS Project proficiency a plus
• Excel and powerpoint a plus
• Financial modeling a plus, but not necessary
