About the role
The University of Newcastle sees a bright future for the Newcastle Law School and is investing heavily in its growth with ongoing positions available for Senior Lecturer, Lecturer and Associate lecturer levels on a part time and full time basis.

What will you do?
The Newcastle Law School is seeking a Senior Lecturer (3908), Lecturer (3904) and Associate Lecturer (3902) to commence in 2019. All positions are expected to:
• Demonstrate educational leadership in Teaching and Learning at a course level and contribution to law programs
• Build research productivity and develop recognition for the Newcastle Law School
• Maintain membership of professional associations/industry networks and build partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities
• Actively contribute to the School through a range of administrative functions including committee roles, course coordination and proactive involvement in University activities/initiatives as appropriate.

About you
We are seeking motivated people, interested in applying their experience and knowledge to make a difference in the justice system. You will have expertise in a range of law areas that will include at least one of the following; constitutional law, health law, elder law, environmental law, company law, contracts law, technology law, Intellectual property law, family law, criminal law, torts or tax law.
You will be passionate about higher education, enjoy working in a collaborative environment and place a high level of importance on teaching and supporting students. You’ll be focused on creating an experience that is innovative, professional and heavily linked with Industry needs. Key to your success will be your prior experience in working within a similar academic role within the higher education sector with a successful research track record commensurate with your current position level.
