The National University of Ireland, Galway invites applications for the post of Lecturer (Below the Bar) in European Union Law at the School of Law. Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer (Below the Bar) in European Union Law at the School of Law. Applicants will normally have a Ph.D in the field of European Union law at or near completion or an equivalent academic qualification in law or a related discipline.

The successful candidate will be required to teach and coordinate the delivery of undergraduate programmes, and to contribute to the delivery of LLM and PhD programmes in the School of Law.

The successful candidate will have an active research profile in European Union Law demonstrated by strong evidence of future potential to contribute to the research output of the School of Law, in accordance with evolving international standards. They are expected to play a productive role in enhancing the teaching, research and related activities of the School of Law. Duties will include teaching, examining and administration in undergraduate programmes and other appropriate contributions to the broader activities of the School of Law.

Salary: At Lecturer Below the Bar level

€37,979 to €58,944 p.a. (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)

(This appointment will be made on the Lecturer Below the Bar scale in line with current Government pay policy)
(For pre 1995 public sector entrants in Ireland, the D class Salary rates will apply)
