The Department of Economics, Finance and Legal Studies in the Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama invites applications for an opening for an Assistant Professor of Finance beginning August 16, 2019. Primary duties include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, engaging in a research program that results in articles in outstanding scholarly publications, and performing service as assigned by the Department, College, and University.

About the Organization
ABOUT THE SCHOOL: The finance program offers degrees at the undergraduate, Masters and Ph.D. levels. The Masters programs include a full-time MBA, a weekend MBA program for executives, and a one-year MSF. The department offers an excellent research environment including generous travel support, an active seminar series and Ph.D. graduate student research assistants. Departmental faculty have published in many of the top finance journals including JF, JFE, RFS and JFQA. The College has state-of-the art facilities for both teaching and research including multimedia classrooms, subscriptions to WRDS and an excellent collection of databases.
