Opportunities
The Departments of Accounting and Finance at the University of Exeter Business School are seeking to appoint to a number of levels including Full Professor, Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor with tenure) and Lecturer (Assistant Professor). This hiring forms part of a continued expansion and investment into Accounting and Finance at the University of Exeter.

We are particularly interested in candidates specialising in any of the following fields:

• Asset Pricing and Investments
• Auditing
• Banking
• Corporate Finance
• Corporate Governance
• Corporate Law
• Financial Accounting
• FinTech
• Taxation

Education & Research (E&R)
Candidates at the Lecturer level should have a Ph.D. already in hand or firmly expected by September 2019 and should show promise of significant scholarship, high quality publications and teaching ability. Candidates for Senior Lecturer or above should demonstrate a sustainable research profile appropriate for their discipline and evidence of high-quality research-led teaching. Candidates at the rank of Associate or Full Professor must have an outstanding track record in publishing research, teaching and attracting research grants, as well as potential to generate impact beyond academia. In addition, they should have an international reputation and a proven record of, and ability to provide, academic leadership.

Education & Scholarship (E&S)
Candidates at the Lecturer level should have a Ph.D. already in hand or firmly expected by September 2019, or relevant professional qualification/experience, and should show potential to inspirational teachers in higher education. Candidates for Senior Lecturer or above should demonstrate appropriate depth or breadth of specialist knowledge and understanding of the core knowledge related to their discipline. They should have capacity to be a module lead for either complex team-taught or individual modules, and have experience in curriculum development. Candidates at the rank of Associate or Full Professor must have evidence of working at a national level to champion selected aspects of disciplinary pedagogy and experience of providing academic leadership.

Salaries will be competitive dependent on knowledge, skills and experience however appointments will typically be made within their relevant salary band for the level.
Lecturer: £35,211 - £43,267 on Grade F
Senior Lecturer: £43,267 - £58,089 on Grade G
Associate Professor: £56,677 - £71,407 on Grade H
