Job Description & Qualification

PENN STATE LAW in University Park seeks to hire several tenured or tenure-track faculty to begin in the 2019-20 academic year. This is part of a multi-year strategic hiring plan, and we will consider both entry level and lateral candidates. Lateral candidates may be at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels. We will consider candidates in all subject areas, but are particularly interested in those whose research focuses on one of the following areas, broadly construed: business law; criminal law or procedure; cyber law; and energy law. One position, focused on big-data approaches to energy law, will be a joint hire between Penn State Law (the tenure home), and the College of Engineering, School of International Affairs, and Penn State’s Institute for CyberScience (ICS).

Candidates must have a J.D., Ph.D., or equivalent degree, a distinguished academic record, and demonstrated potential to produce outstanding scholarship.
