Job Description & Qualification

An earned Ph.D. in Accounting with strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching is required. Publications in top-tier journals are highly preferred. ABDs can be considered, provided that the degree will be earned by the appointment date and the candidate meets the publication requirement or demonstrates strong potential to do. Fluency in English is required, preferably in Korean as well. Previous teaching experience in Accounting is desirable.

The appointee is expected to publish in top-tier Accounting or related journals. The courses in our program include all areas in Accounting. All courses are to be taught in English.

Korea University is located in the vibrant and increasingly globalizing city of Seoul, the capital of South Korea. KUBS, accredited by both AACSB and EQUIS and is a member of CEMS, is the oldest and largest business school in Korea at the moment, with about 84 full-time faculty members. KUBS has approximately 2,500 undergraduate students, 650 MBA students, 200 students in MS programs, and 100 Ph.D. students in various majors such as Accounting, Finance, International Business, Logistics Services and Operation Management (LSOM), Management, Marketing, and IS.
The Accounting area has currently 12 full-time tenure-track faculty members. The current faculty members represent various fields in accounting, such as financial accounting, managerial accounting, behaviroal accounting, tax, and auditing.
