HEC Lausanne (the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Lausanne) invites applications for a position full time as Assistant Professor (Tenure Track to Associate Professor) in Actuarial Science.

Starting on 01.08.2024 or on a mutually agreed date.
Activity rate: 100%
Workplace: Internef, Lausanne

Candidates must hold a PhD in Actuarial Science or a related discipline. They should have an excellent research and publication record in the field of Actuarial Science. Candidates should have teaching experience at university level (Bachelor and Master). Successful candidates will be expected to be able to teach in French and English after six years.

In line with the strategy of the Faculty, preference will be given to candidates who do research and teach on topics connected to Actuarial Mathematics and Insurance Analytics. All research methods are welcome.

The new professor will be a member of the Department of Actuarial Science HEC Lausanne. Excellence in teaching and research is very important for us. Members of the department have published in top tier journals such as Insurance : Mathematics & Economics, ASTIN Bulletin, Scandinavian Actuarial Journal, and many more. We offer attractive teaching loads and an excellent research environment.
