Job Description & Qualification

Tilburg University's Department of Accounting invites applications for an Associate Professor and a Full Professor position in accounting, with an expected start date of September 1, 2024 (or earlier). At the department, to future-proof our endeavors in a rapidly changing landscape, we set ambitious new strategic goals in the realms of education and research. As we prepare to navigate these changes, we are seeking candidates to join our great team and help in realizing these goals.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate should hold a PhD in accounting, demonstrate thought leadership in the research domain, substantiated by a history of impactful publications in leading international academic journals, and possess a robust research pipeline. Further qualifications include being actively engaged with and visible within the academic and wider community, and demonstrating recognized societal impact through achievements such as successful grant applications, media acknowledgments, or contributions to policy shaping. Additionally, we seek an individual with a proven track record of effectively supervising PhD students, expertise in teaching and curriculum design, complemented by excellent presentation abilities. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to provide academic mentorship to junior faculty members, collaborate effectively with colleagues in the department and the school, and actively contribute to fostering an inclusive and supportive organizational culture.
