Job Description & Qualification

The D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University is seeking candidates for an open tenured or tenure-track position at all levels (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor), with interdisciplinary interests in the use of human-centered AI in accounting and financial reporting. This includes, but is not limited to, AI-assisted assurance of quality of financial reporting, Generative AI and the creation/interpretation of financial reports, AI algorithms for automated data extraction from financial disclosures, AI for predictive analytics based on financial information, AI for sentiment analysis, summarization and other natural language processing tasks. Candidates may be considered for a joint appointment between the D’Amore-McKim School of Business (primary appointment) and the Khoury College of Computer Sciences (secondary appointment).

Candidates interested in conducting high-impact research programs and teaching excellence in the areas above are encouraged to apply. They must hold a doctorate in Accounting or a related field by the appointment start date. Candidates for appointment at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level must be outstanding scholars with an international reputation for excellence in research, teaching, and service, along with clear indications of continued research success. Appointments at the Associate Professor or Full Professor level will be commensurate with experience and qualifications reflecting a record of demonstrated teaching and scholarly excellence.

Candidates must have a background in or commitment to working with diverse student populations and/or in culturally diverse work and educational environments.
