Visiting Assistant Professor and Visiting Lecturer of Finance
Job Description & Qualification
The Department of Finance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Lee Business School invites applications for Visiting Assistant Professor and Visiting Lecturer of Finance, for the upcoming academic year, starting in August 2023.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to effective teaching and preparing students for success in a multicultural business environment. The duties of these positions include:
• Teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including our Master of Science in Quantitative Finance (MSQF) program.
• Typical load: four courses per semester.
• Participating in research activities.
• Performing appropriate departmental and college service activities.
Requirements:
• For the Visiting Assistant Professor position, a doctoral degree from an accredited university in related fields is required, but doctoral students who are at an advanced stage of their study, such as ABD, will be considered.
• For the Visiting Lecturer position, we expect the candidate to have 1) a master’s degree from an accredited university in related fields, and 2) a related professional designation such as CFA or at least five years of significant experience in business or consulting.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment. ABD candidates applying for the Visiting Assistant Professor position are expected to be making strong progress towards completing their PhD.
• The candidates for both positions must be able to work legally in the United States.
