Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
The Department of Economics and Finance invites applications for a continuing position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer (equivalent to Assistant Professor/Associate Professor at North American Universities). Candidates with all specializations are welcome. In particular, we encourage candidates with an interest in Corporate Finance to apply for the position. The position will involve teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level, undertaking postgraduate research supervision, contributing actively and positively to the research profile of the Department and School, and contributing to service. The ideal candidate will have publications in leading finance and/or economics journals. He/she is expected to utilize the School's Trading Room as a research and teaching resource. The successful candidate is expected to start employment in late 2023 or early 2024.
Mōu | Who You Are
Candidates should have a completed PhD in finance by the -start date. He/she should have excellent written and oral communication skills. Successful candidates for the position of Lecturer/Senior lecturer should have the proven potential/ability to publish in top-quality, internationally recognized finance journals. All candidates should have good teaching skills and a commitment to quality teaching delivery. Candidates with experience in teaching larger undergraduate classes are particularly encouraged to apply.
