Job Description & Qualification

Florida State University’s College of Business seeks applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Finance. Candidates with expertise in all areas of Finance are invited to apply. The position is scheduled to start in Fall 2023.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position must have earned or be near completion of a Ph.D. in Finance or Financial Economics. Degree must be conferred by August 1, 2023. Candidates should have a strong commitment to excellent teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels as well as a research agenda that targets top-tier journals.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Finance provides an active research environment including the Truist seminar series and the Truist Beach Conference. Faculty have access to summer research grants, graduate student research assistants, travel support and an excellent collection of databases, which include Compustat, CRSP, IBES, Boardex, ISS, Thomson Reuters Institutional Holdings, SDC and others.
