Job Description & Qualification

The Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee invites applications and nominations for a non-tenure track position in the Department of Finance. The position is for a Lecturer or Professor of Practice, with rank and classification depending upon the candidate’s qualifications. We will conduct interviews virtually.

The primary responsibilities of the position will be teaching undergraduate finance classes and helping students outside of the classroom enhance their skills. Candidates must be able to work effectively within the Department, College and University.

Position Available: August 1, 2023
Salary: Competitive.

Qualifications
Required: A Master’s degree or higher in finance or a related field in hand as of the starting date of employment is required for the Lecturer position. The Professor of Practice appointment requires a Ph.D. in finance or a related field in hand as of the start date.

Preferred: The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in finance or a related field, a strong interest in student success, demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and experience teaching financial statement analysis. Industry experience or related certifications is desirable but not required.
