Teaching Professor in FinTech

Job Description & Qualification

The School of Business at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a non tenure-track faculty position in FinTech at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with an expected start date of September 2023. Applications from those with backgrounds in fields or applications related to financial technology are invited including computational finance, machine learning, optimization, data modeling and visualization, cybersecurity, robo-advising, digital identification and authentication, distributed ledgers, decentralized exchanges, automated market makers, insurtech, crowdfunding, digital payment systems, algorithmic trading, digital forensic, pricing and hedging, financial risk management, explanatory AI, financial innovation, and multivariate statistics. Candidates should have, or be close to completing, a Ph.D., or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Information System, Analytics or related fields with a domain emphasis on financial technologies. The position is available immediately and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Successful candidates will possess extensive experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level. The rank of the position will be dependent upon experience and qualifications. Evidence of effective teaching is required. The candidate will teach FinTech-related courses at the Bachelor and Graduate degree levels. The candidate Ph.D. degree must be completed before September 2023. Professional experience in industry and/or government is a plus.
