Postdoc in Finance

Job Description & Qualification

Postdoc in Finance with specialization in Asset Pricing

The Department of Economics and the Centre for Finance at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, will recruit a two-year post-doctoral researcher in Finance. The expected start date is August 2023.

Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Finance/Economics or a related field; in general, no more than three years should have elapsed since the completion of the Ph.D. The post-doc position is within a research project on Climate Finance and the candidate will be expected to primarily work on projects within this agenda, together with current participants. Some time for pursuing individual research projects and revising dissertation chapters will also be provided.

The projects within the Climate Finance agenda will relate to long-run asset returns and risks. A strong background in asset pricing, both theory and empirical, is therefore desirable. Research potential within these fields will be the key selection criterion for the position. Some limited teaching will also be required, amounting to approximately one course per year and supervision of bachelor and master theses; teaching and supervision are conducted in English.
