Job Description & Qualification

The Accounting Department of HEC Montréal invites applications for a tenure track positions in the areas of audit, financial accounting, management accounting, or tax starting June 1, 2023. All ranks (Assistant, Associate and Full Professor) will be considered.

Requirements
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
• Possess (or be near completion of) a doctoral degree in accounting.
• Demonstrate excellent pedagogical skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to conduct high-quality research.
• New hires should be able to teach in French by their third year. The school offers a personalized training program to those not fluent in French to help them successfully teach in French.

In recent years, HEC Montréal faculty has published in leading accounting and management journals such as: The Accounting Review; Strategic Management Journal; Accounting, Organizations and Society; Review of Accounting Studies; Contemporary Accounting Research; Journal of Business Ethics; Organization Studies, Corporate Governance: An International Review; Management Accounting Research; and Journal of Accounting, Auditing & Finance. The Department holds two chairs and five research professorships and offers a wide range of courses at all levels of study (BAA, M.Sc., MBA and Ph. D). Our doctoral program is offered in collaboration with the other three Montréal universities: McGill, Concordia and UQAM.
