Job Description & Qualification
The Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, will recruit one Senior Lecturer in Financial Economics. This is a full-time tenured position. The expected start date is August 2023.
The number of students on the undergraduate and master programmes in finance has increased. The department therefore needs to recruit a lecturer. The successful candidate should be prepared to teach financial economics at the undergraduate and master level. The employment may involve teaching in both Swedish and English. This means that the successful candidate should be prepared to teach in Swedish in the future but it is not a requirement when taking up the position.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Financial Economics or a related field. High quality research and documented pedagogical skills in financial economics are the most important evaluation criteria. The candidate is expected to be an active researcher and the successful candidate is expected to carry out research suitable for publication in highly ranked finance and economics journals.
All fields of financial economics will be considered.
