Assistant Professor in Finance

The Department of Finance at the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at University of Delaware invites applications for a Continuing Track Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2023. This is a non-tenure track appointment primarily emphasizing teaching responsibilities. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Primary consideration will be given to applicants with a Ph.D. in finance. Successful candidates should be interested in establishing a long-term teaching career at the University of Delaware and be able to teach a variety of finance courses. Depending on program needs, this position will require teaching in China. Teaching loads may be adjusted to maintain the research productivity of applicants with a PhD and an active research agenda.

The Department of Finance currently has 18 full-time faculty members. The Department offers BS and MS degrees in Finance and supports the College’s MBA programs and PhD programs in Economics and Financial Services Analytics. Additionally, the Department supports the UD joint program with the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), with opportunities to travel and teach in China.
