The Business School of the University of Amsterdam is seeking candidates for the following positions:

- Assistant Professor of Finance (tenure track)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must hold a PhD in Finance or a related discipline (completed or near completion). We seek candidates with high research potential or achievements, willingness to interact with faculty colleagues and contribute to the intellectual environment, ability to teach graduate and undergraduate students, and ability to communicate research in seminars, conferences and in the classroom. Assistant Professor appointments are tenure-track positions.

ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: The Finance Group at the University of Amsterdam is an internationally recognized research group with a strong focus on high-quality academic research. Faculty members regularly publish in top finance and economics journals and present their work at top academic conferences every year. The group is very collegial and diverse, with 15 different nationalities. Our weekly academic seminar series features prominent speakers. We also maintain strong links to top schools in North America where many faculty members have studied or taught previously, and in Europe, where the group participates in several academic networks. The Finance Group offers courses at the undergraduate, graduate, executive (MBA and Master in International Finance) and Ph.D. (at the Tinbergen Institute) levels. The teaching load is reasonable and can be concentrated both in time and in preparations. The working language (including teaching) is English.

Our newly designed campus is located in the city centre of Amsterdam. Amsterdam is one of the most vibrant and friendliest cities in Europe with an exceptionally high quality of life. Almost everyone in the Netherlands speaks fluent English. The compensation package is competitive relative to European salaries.
