Tenure-Track Position in Accounting

Position Summary

Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University invites applications for one or more tenure track/tenured positions in Accounting at all levels. Candidates must have (or be near completion) of a Ph.D. in Accounting. Applicants demonstrating outstanding potential who are doctoral students and plan to have completed the requirements for their Ph.D. by December 2023 will also be considered. Compensation levels, teaching load, research funding, and travel support are competitive and commensurate with experience. Preference will be given to candidates interested in research and teaching on sustainability, entrepreneurship/innovation, data analytics, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. However, all areas of accounting will be considered. The start date for the position is August 1, 2023.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to advance a cutting-edge, compelling, and impactful research agenda. The ideal candidate will have evidence of effective teaching, an experience-appropriate record of research publications in high quality, peer-reviewed journals, and clear promise of conducting innovative and important research publishable in the top journals in Accounting such as those listed on the Desautels 22. Successful candidates are expected to work with doctoral students, to teach in our undergraduate and graduate programs, and contribute to the administration of the Area and Faculty. Teaching is done in English, but knowledge of French or a willingness to learn French is desirable.
