Job Description & Qualification

The School of Accounting in the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina is seeking a high-potential faculty member who aspires to excellence in research and teaching for a tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor position beginning August 16, 2023. Teaching loads and summer support are competitive with other top-level accounting positions. All faculty searches are subject to the availability of funding.

This position requires a PhD in accounting by the start of employment (ABDs considered). Candidates for the Assistant rank must have the potential to publish their research in top-tier accounting journals and the potential for excellence in teaching. Candidates for the Associate rank must have an earned PhD in accounting, at least 5 years of relevant academic experience beyond the PhD, a publication record in top-tier accounting journals and a record of excellence in teaching.
