Postdoctoral Fellow

Job Description & Qualification

SAFE offers positions for One-year Postdoctoral Fellows (m/f/d) starting at the earliest possible date. Applicants should have a PhD in Finance, Economics, Law, or Political Science, as well as a research interest in one of the key research fields of SAFE: Financial Intermediation, Financial Markets, Household Finance, Macro Finance, Monetary Policy, Law & Finance. We welcome applications from candidates who show an excellent scientific track record and strong research potential as well as the commitment to contribute to the activities of the Institute.

The positions are limited to one year. SAFE encourages Postdoctoral Fellows to prepare a research proposal for submission to a funding program that offers the opportunity to convert the Fellow position into a longer-term research position at SAFE (e.g: Leibniz Junior Research Groups, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action: European Fellowship/Global Fellowship, DFG funding programs). Support in the application process will be provided.

The Fellow positions come with full-time salary based on the public payment scheme of the State of Hessen TV-H, group E13. There is no teaching load assigned to the positions. SAFE seeks to increase the share of women in research and thus strongly encourages female scholars to apply. We are also committed to promote the inclusion of persons with disabilities and therefore invite them in particular to apply.
