Assistant Professor in Finance (tenure track)

Job Description & Qualification

The 5-year position as an assistant professor is part of Hanken’s tenure track system. The nomination to the next level, associate professor, is based upon an evaluation by Hanken tenure track committee according to the university’s criteria. Early promotion may be possible for qualified applicants.

The applicants should hold a doctoral degree in finance or in a related field. The applicants will be reviewed based on their research, teaching and activity in the scientific community. Special consideration is given to candidates that have demonstrated their ability to produce high quality research in the field of Financial Economics. When evaluating the applicants’ qualifications, the focus will be on the person’s qualifications with emphasis given to recent years.

Applicants are required to have fluent command of English and a basic ability to teach in Swedish upon entry. If the recruited faculty member is not native in Swedish, he or she is expected to learn the Swedish language to an intermediate level.
