Position Summary
The Department of Accounting and Information Systems in the Eli Broad College of Business is seeking applications for a fixed-term faculty member with the primary responsibility of teaching undergraduate students enrolled in the Survey of Accounting Concepts course offered both in-person and online to non-business students in several majors. Responsibilities may also include teaching other related undergraduate and graduate courses based upon departmental needs. Additional duties include coordinating with the Directors of the Burgess Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation on educational content creation within the Minor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Broad College, managing Graduate Teaching Assistants and Undergraduate Learning Assistants, student advising, and curriculum development. This is a nine-month academic year appointment, subject to annual review and renewal. Additional summer teaching opportunities are possible with additional compensation. Candidate must have a Master’s degree in accounting or a related discipline, PhD in accounting or JD preferred, and an aptitude and interest in teaching at the undergraduate or graduate level to a diverse student body. The ideal candidate will also have relevant work experience in accounting and experience with entrepreneurship and innovation. There are no research requirements for this position. The position will start August 16, 2022.

Required Degree
Minimum required degree is master’s in accounting or related discipline.
PhD in accounting or JD preferred.
