Full-time Lecturer in Accounting

Job Description & Qualification

The Turner School of Accountancy in the Belk College of Business at the University of North
Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for a full-time lecturer position beginning in the Fall
2022 semester. The Position requires candidates to possess at least a Master’s degree in
accounting, or MBA with concentration in accounting, with a focus on financial accounting,
managerial accounting or tax and with at least 18 hours of graduate accounting coursework.
Candidates must be prepared to educate a diverse population of students in various accounting
courses including financial accounting, intermediate accounting, managerial accounting or
entity/personal tax. Prior teaching experience, especially in large classroom settings, is
preferred. The teaching load is four courses per semester. In addition to the teaching
responsibilities, qualified candidates must be prepared to participate in student advising, provide
leadership in student organizations, serve on committees, interact with the profession and engage
in scholarship to attain the IP status.
