Job Description & Qualification

The Department of Accounting at LSE invites applications from outstanding candidates for the post of Assistant Professor in Accounting.

Based in the Department of Accounting, the postholder will contribute to the intellectual life of the School through conducting and publishing high-quality research, engaging in high-quality teaching of undergraduate, postgraduate and research students as appropriate, and through participating in the School and wider Department activities.


Candidates will have:

A completed PhD, or close to obtaining a PhD, in accounting, or related area, by the post start date.
A clear, well developed and viable strategy for outstanding research that has the potential to result in leading publications in accounting.
Ability to teach accounting at under- and post-graduate level, ideally evidenced by prior experience in the teaching of accounting.
Ability to establish an international reputation in accounting.

The appointment is expected to commence no later than 1 September 2022.
