Job Description & Qualification

The Von Allmen School of Accountancy at the University of Kentucky is pleased to invite applications for two Assistant Professors with an anticipated start date of Fall 2022. The successful candidates must have a PhD in accounting or related field, or may be ABD with expected completion of their PhD by Summer 2022. Candidates should have an active research program demonstrating capacity for high level research and have an excellent record of classroom instruction. Experienced candidates are particularly encouraged to apply, and should demonstrate an excellent record of publishing in top academic journals with a research agenda that will lead to continued productivity. Applicants should have an expectation to publish research in top journals such as TAR, JAR, CAR, AOS, RAST, JAE, or comparable outlets.

The Von Allmen School offers an outstanding research environment with a core of highly productive research-oriented faculty. The School welcomes applicants with interests in all areas of research and teaching. While open to candidates across all research and teaching areas, a demonstrated interest or willingness in teaching data analytics, taxation, and/or graduate-level accounting coursework will be viewed favorably.

Please note: Given the COVID-19 pandemic, and the need to protect our university community including our students, staff, faculty and visitors, the University of Kentucky is requiring COVID-19 vaccination for all new hires prior to starting employment.
