The Hogeg Blockchain Research Institute Conference - 2021

Conference dates

15 Dec 2021 - 16 Dec 2021

Tel Aviv, Israel

The Hogeg Blockchain Research Institute invites researchers to submit theoretical and empirical papers for presentation at the inaugural conference on Applications of Blockchain Technology in Economics and Finance to be held on December 15, 2021 at the Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University.

The Hogeg Blockchain Research Institute was founded to advance academic research on blockchain applications, especially in finance, and to support its dissemination. The Institute encourages foundational theoretical, empirical, and application-oriented research.

Conference Date: December 15, 2021.

Conference location: Coller School of Management, Tel Aviv University. We will strive for an in-person conference if the state of the pandemic allows it, with the possibility of virtual participation. If an in-person conference will not be possible, we will move to an all-virtual format.

The conference will focus on theoretical and empirical research centered on crypto-economics and crypto-finance, broadly defined. The conference will feature 8 paper presentations with discussions. There will be best paper and best discussant awards.

The conference organizers will pay for meals during and around the conference. In addition, to facilitate social interactions, which seem especially important as we return to pre-pandemic life, the conference organizers will sponsor social activities including a day trip to Jerusalem or to the North of Israel. Conference participants will be responsible for the costs of travel to/from Tel Aviv and of accommodation. The conference organizers will provide several accommodation options in Tel Aviv.

Submission deadline: August 15, 2021.

Authors’ notification: The conference program will be finalized by September 30, 2021.
