1st International Conference “Frontiers in International Finance and Banking”

Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University) is launching an inaugural conference which aims to turn into an influential forum on a broad range of issues related to finance and banking.

Given the ongoing uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic, the first edition of the conference will be held virtually on the 28-29th of October, 2021.

The keynote speakers are Leonardo Gambacorta, PhD, Head of the Innovation and the Digital Economy Unit at the Bank for International Settlements, and Christopher Parmeter, PhD, Associate Professor, Miami Herbert Business School.

Dr. Gambacorta has publications in such journals as Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Economic Policy, etc. Dr. Parmeter published his research papers in European Economic Review, Economic Journal, Journal of Economic Growth, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Applied Econometrics, etc.

We welcome submissions on a broad range of topics, including (but not limited to):
 International finance: exchange rates and capital flows
 International financial regulation and supervision
 Financial innovations
 Empirical banking
 Securities and insurance markets
 Financial risk management
 Monetary and macroprudential policies
 Political economy of finance

Submissions to the conference should be sent to finconf.mgimo2021@gmail.com by the 5th of September, 2021. Papers to be presented at the conference will be selected by the members of the Program committee and the authors will be notified by the 20th of September, 2021.
